SunGard
Corporate Event - Company Merger

Soon after SunGard's recent acquisition of former rival Comdisco, "SunGard Summit 2002" was conceived as a way to bring together the sales forces of the two companies behind a shared purpose and mission. SunGard turned to Corporate Dimensions to develop and manage all aspects of the event hosting more than 800 sales executives at a three-day conference in Atlantic City. Time was short. The merger was completed in December, and the summit was set for the first week in January.

It was important to unite the team as one company under its new name, "SunGard Availability Services." A special opening module introduced the name and supported the entrance of CEO Jim Simmons, who would deliver the keynote address to the new company.

Corporate Dimensions supported the entire meeting with innovative concepts and set designs that helped executives feel comfortable in their roles of building harmony and teamwork in the new company:

Signage featuring the new company name was featured prominently throughout the meeting.
--------------
Guest speaker Pat Croce entered the stage dressed as a magician - extending this unifying motif throughout the meeting.
--------------
A "SunGard Today" set patterned after the "Today Show" set featured a panel discussion with executives from the two companies. One executive supposedly interviewed "live" from London magically appeared live at the meeting.
--------------
SunGard's Awards Banquet featured a "David Letterman Show" style set, with CEO Simmons serving as host. Each award recipient was introduced with a brief video segment.
