Storage
Facilities
Avalon has full
service and storage facilities strategically located in New Castle,
DE and Las Vegas, NV allowing national clients to save significant costs
related to transportation and handling when multiple or modular assets
are stored on either coast. Currently, we have over 200,000 sq ft of
secured warehouse space occupied.
All storage areas
are temperature controlled (for electronics) and all required safety
codes are exceeded, ensuring an A+ Insurance Rating. In New Castle,
Randy Murschell is Warehouse Manager and Ken Kunz is in charge of
our secure graphic storage area which is also available to customers
as a web-based asset management system.

Shipping
Contracts
Avalon's transportation
department solicits the best prices from our contracted vendors and
the volume discounts we receive are shared with our clients. Avalon
has negotiated national freight contracts with NorthAmerican Van Lines,
United Van Lines, Cargo Solutions, SEKO Air Freight, Federal Express
and UPS.
Traffic
Management
Randy Murschell or our Logistics
Manager solicits bids from our preferred carriers based on the required
service. For example: Standard ground transportation for a truck load
would be bid through North American, United and Cargo Solutions. Avalon
invoices the negotiated rate plus a service fee for coordination and
payment. Avalon has excellent working relationships with all carriers
mentioned.
Brian Moore is our
shipper/receiver responsible for Air Freight shipments and receipts.
In addition, for air freight we use Seko Worldwide and Air Freight Carriers
as well as Freight Solutions for air freight forwarding. On average,
we dispatch 20-25 air freight shipments and 5-10 van line shipments
per week. Avalon tracks and confirms the delivery of every shipment
from a large truckload to a FedEx letter nationally and internationally.

Destination
Management
All arrangements
for the shipping and secure storage of properties and products are coordinated
in the first instance by the Account Manager. Avalon's show contract
partners are responsible for property management at the show venues
and safely see all properties off the show floor with appropriate documentation
on completion of the event.
On-site
Services
Avalon provides
qualified on-site supervision at all major exhibit venues. The designated
supervisor is an experienced exhibit professional with extensive knowledge
of the property to be exhibited. This person is normally the Project
Manager, Lead Carpenter, or Account Executive.

Project
Installation and Dismantling
Avalon is a union
shop and members are affiliated with Local 626. Our carpenters can work
in many cities that conform to carpenter agreements; however, we primarily
subcontract our on-site labor through various independent contractors.
Avalon has a 20
year relationship with five primary contractors. Apart from Spectrum
Show Services, which primarily services the Northeast, the remaining
four are "national" and have base operations in all major
convention cities in the US.

Avalon’s on-site
contractors are:
Eagle Management

--------------
Nth Degree - 18 years with Avalon
--------------
Renaissance Management - 16 years with Avalon
--------------
Spectrum
Show Services - 12 years with Avalon
--------------
Zenith Labornet - 16 years with Avalon
Avalon will strategically
negotiate with each labor company on behalf of our clients for aggressive,
"locked-in" rates or fixed pricing based on the show schedule.
Accurate pre-planning of labor schedules will offer the advantage of
straight time labor and provide a cost savings.
Our on-site management
structure and labor procedures utilize the direct account representative
as the key to your successful event. A working supervisor with experience
of your account is selected to guarantee a high level of attention to
detail and consistency, show to show.
